IF UR READING THIS U LOOK VERY CUTE TODAY AND ALSO ILY
The fascinating works of Yuki Matsueda pop out of their box enclosures and frames, penetrating the viewer’s space. Yolks fly out of eggs, figures jump out of exit signs, and kings and queens leap out of playing cards.
Peekaboo you can’t see me!
Much love to any sort of Kyoko/Tohru flashback because you know, mother and daughter feelings and emotions all over the place (widowed single ex-gang member bring up her super polite and adorable little girl. Best little family right there).
But, if you’ve read the Kyoko chapter in the Fruits Basket manga that focuses on her relationship with Tohru’s father and how she coped (or rather, didn’t cope. At all) after his death, there’s a whole new layer of emotion here, because Kyoko means it: it’s because of Tohru that she can go on.
Like I said: fucking mother and daughter emotions everywhere.
